Spear Stance by A-Pancake Spear Stance by A-Pancake
An OC in spear stance, just about to attack whoever (or whatever) lurks after him in the deep winter woods.

After a few years studying as a druid apprentice, he decided to quit and take another, but somewhat similar path. He is a forest warden and makes sure that there are no corruptions to the balance of nature. He casts runes, in order to channel healing, protection and elemental spells such as frost and earth. I've always wanted to make a character, which can give me a slight thought about norse mythology and different cultures of shamanism. Not that he looks like one, nor do I believe in Norse mythology/shamanism. I just think it's extremely fascinating, like many other things.

Anyway, he usually encounters various beasts and humanoid lurkers, but his greatest foes are necromancers and anything else relevant to undeath. No matter how harsh situations can be, he will attack with full force, either to victory or his own doom. In worst case scenario, he will bring forth his inner beast, unleashing his Ulfhednar form, to strike with absolute power. He is many years older, compare to the time, when he was an apprentice. Therefore, new items, replacing some old ones, etc.

Any comment, recommendations and advices is always welcome, thank you! =) The more the merrier!

The wolf skull necklace is inspired by one of Lost Apostle's brilliant products, so the credits from the necklace will go to: www.etsy.com/listing/80487255/…
The cloak is inspired by Daniel Desmarais, who makes great medieval clothings: www.etsy.com/listing/123633447…

EDIT: I've changed the spear head to a bigger version, making it a hewing/thrusting polearm. I've also changed colours on the cloak and beard, to make it more blendy to the background. Since nobody wore the gray tunic as a "t-shirt", I added a brown tunic to fit.

Also, hotkeys can be extremely annoying at times, ruining the image by autocontrasting everything, when you're in the middle of drawing details. Why does it contrast everything, when you're only in one (of around 40) layer? "This could work. Save." *Zoom out* "... bugger." From now on, I will use very huge image size, in order to never get such troubles again.

I like how dynamic his pose turned out, and the intense expression right before the attack.
