- Even Erlendsson: Child, son of a blind veteran, wants to restore honour to his family, stubborn, fresh adventurer.
- Trygve Hjalmarsson: Comes from a rich family, allied to family Erlendsson, highly interested at a legendary sword.
- Ljótólfr: Varangian Guard-inspired character, proud and serious, searches for new adventures.
- Skeggi: Dwarf from a deep forest, neutral, has to eliminate draugrs from his home land.
